Welcome to our blog. We have set up this website for the purpose of providing you with extra information and pictures of us and our families. We want you to have the opportunity to get to know us as you consider your options for placing your baby with a family.
We are so excited to adopt another baby into our family and hope that you might feel our love and appreciation for you as you consider us for the important and special job of loving and raising your baby. We know that this is a difficult and emotional decision for you and our hearts go out to you for the stress you must be feeling at this time.
We have been married for eleven years and tried to have a baby for five years before realizing that we were destined to build our family through adoption. While waiting almost six years was difficult, we feel that the extra time we had to prepare for our children allowed us to gain some maturity, emotional and financial stability, and mental readiness to care for our children in the best way possible and to provide them with everything they need to be happy and healthy kids!
After making the decision to adopt, we were chosen by a sweet young lady, in 2007, to raise her child. A few months later, in June of 2008, our baby girl, Stella, was born. She is absolutely the most beautiful and sweet little girl in the world and we are eternally thankful that she was brought to our family through the blessing of adoption. She is loved and adored by us as well as by her extended family to no end!
After some time, we decided to try to adopt again and were again blessed immensely when another wonderful young lady chose us to raise her daughter. Our baby, Scarlett, was born in December of 2010 and has brought us joy beyond belief over the past year and a half. We have remained very close friends with both our birth mothers and love them as though they were our sisters. Words can never express the gratitude we feel toward both our birth mothers for giving us our perfect little ladies and the joy of parenthood.
We have lots of extended family that all live within 30 minutes of us. Our daughters have 19 first cousins (and counting!), whom we see every week, and whom they adore. They spend an afternoon every week playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and we have a big family get-together every Sunday evening. They have six aunts and uncles who love them dearly. Our neighborhood is full of families with young children with lots of parks and pools. We are active in our ward at church and our community. We love where we live and do everything we can to make sure our kids always feel safe, comfortable and stable.
Cameron is an attorney and also works in our family business, marketing building materials. He is a hard worker, a great provider and a wonderful and caring father. He loves sports and frequently takes our older daughter with him to baseball games and other sporting events. He also likes to read, travel, and do active things such as run and hike. Jenny loves being a stay-at-home mom. She spends her days at the park, the pool and doing all those things that moms do with little kids! She also enjoys teaching a few college courses a year, online, which was her job before we had children. She loves to read, go to movies, run and spend time with family.
There is a quote that says, "Adoption is not the abandonment of a child, but the abandonment of oneself for the well-being of a child." We know that you love your baby and want what is very best for them. It can be a very difficult, and yet brave choice to allow your baby to grow up in a home that is ready and waiting for them. Your time will come when you are ready for a child and a family...if now is not that time for you, we want you to know that we are ready and will do everything possible to give this child everything...the very best life. We will love them forever.
